Big Lancer Seniors who have been trained by campus ministry prepare talks and presentations, and lead small groups throughout the day. This day includes presentations on the school mascot, seal, and the spiritual values of the Xaverian Brothers. The last half of the day is held on the football field and led by the Athletic Department with spirit and team-building activities.
Sophomore Retreat
This retreat is held during the Lenten season and focuses on relationships with God as well as the people in our students' lives who inspired them as models of Christian Leadership to serve others. The day is held at a local gathering hall and includes a liturgy, PowerPoint presentations, student witness talks, recreation, a trivia game, lunch, and small group activities.
Junior Retreat
Aligned with the junior Morality & Social Justice theology curriculum, this retreat is held off campus and is designed to focus on a deeper level on one’s responsibility to serve others in our local communities and beyond. PowerPoint presentations by faculty and staff who have served in Haiti and in the greater Boston community are a focal point for discussion and sharing. Students are asked to discern ways to live out the challenge of Catholic Christian morality and Social Justice as they heed the call to reach out in love to God’s people everywhere.
