Why Parent Giving Matters

For more than 90 years, Malden Catholic has provided students with an exceptional education in the Xaverian tradition. Parents have always been vital partners in fulfilling this vision. Each year, Annual Giving initiatives—primarily in support of the Malden Catholic Fund—make up nearly 20% of the school’s operating budget and help offset the cost of tuition.

Every contribution—large or small—demonstrates parent commitment, inspires alumni and foundations to invest in MC, and ensures our students have access to the best possible education and opportunities.

The Malden Catholic Fund

The MC Fund is the lifeblood of our school and the most meaningful way to make an impact each year. Your gift strengthens academics, arts, athletics, technology, and Campus Ministry; supports programs in STEM, Entrepreneurship, and Financial Literacy; helps attract and retain outstanding faculty; and provides scholarships that open doors for talented students.

Every contribution preserves MC’s tradition of academic excellence, faith formation, and community. Families who contribute $1,000 or more during the fiscal year (July 1–June 30) are welcomed into the Parent Leadership Society, with recognition in the Annual Impact Report and invitations to exclusive events with school leadership.

Signature Annual Giving Events

Parent generosity and community spirit come to life through three annual events that support the MC Fund:

Malden Catholic Gala – Our premier spring celebration, featuring fine dining, entertainment, and a shared celebration of our mission. Parents are invited to attend, sponsor, and even gather a table of friends.

Malden Catholic Classic | Lancers of Golf – A spirited September tournament that blends camaraderie, competition, and Lancer pride.

Malden Catholic Online Auction – A two-week virtual event before the Gala, where families can bid—or donate items and experiences—to provide the margin of excellence that sets MC apart.

Volunteer Opportunities

Parent volunteers enrich MC while building meaningful connections across the community. Opportunities include:

• Event Supporters – Help with mailings, auction items, or outreach for the Day of Giving Back.
• Thought Partners – Share professional expertise on committees, in strategic planning, or during campaigns.
• Community Ambassadors – Represent MC in Admissions, fundraising, and outreach.
