The Malden Catholic Gala is a time of celebration for alumni, families, and friends alike – a coming together of both old and new. This beloved community gathering serves as a means to raise critical funds for student scholarships and programs, ensuring that Malden Catholic continues to flourish.

Malden Catholic is a codivisional, college preparatory high school. Sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers since 1932 and guided by their spiritual values of simplicity, humility, compassion, trust, and zeal, we inspire students to lives of service, leadership, and excellence. Inaugural Corporate Partnership Excellence Award - Timberline Construction Corp.

Timberline Construction Corporation

Malden Catholic celebrates Timberline Construction Corporation (Timberline) as its inaugural Corporate Partnership Excellence Award recipient. Timberline, the Canton, MA-based construction management firm, is Malden Catholic's partner developing the new 70,000-square-foot building at 50 Crystal Street which will house expanded athletic facilities, high school lab spaces and MC’s new 7th and 8th-grade Division. Through all stages of this project, Timberline's client-centered approach has been apparent, specifically with respect to its commitment to cost and time certainty, generous financial support of the school, and recognition of its corporate responsibility to use success to improve the communities where they choose to do business.

Malden Catholic celebrates Patricia McWade, GCHS '65, as Co-Honoree of the 2025 Plus Ultra Award. Pat, a dedicated member of the Malden Catholic Board of Trustees, has played a critical, invaluable role in assuring Malden Catholic's growth and academic reputation. With an undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and a Master's in Education from Harvard, she has devoted her professional career to helping students from low-income and working-class families access higher education. She has served as the Dean of Financial Services at Georgetown University for over three decades.

Malden Catholic celebrates Rosemary (Boland) Phalen GCHS '69 as Co-Honoree of the 2025 Plus Ultra Award. Rosemary joined the Malden Catholic Board of Trustees shortly after the initiation of the school's Girls Division. Through her leadership and philanthropy, Rosemary has shown an unwavering dedication to girls' Catholic education at MC. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Boston College and a Master’s in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts. With commitment to maternal health, Rosemary was instrumental in developing the Pregnancy Loss Support Program and the Supportive and Palliative Care Program at South Shore Health.

David King, M.D. P ’24 & ’28

A world-renowned trauma and acute care surgeon at the Massachusetts General Hospital Trauma Center and a US Army Reserve combat surgeon, with multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Dr. King has saved countless lives under the most trying circumstances and conditions. Despite such compelling demands for his skill and expertise, Dr. King’s, vision, leadership and expertise were instrumental in the development and implementation of MC’s COVID-19 Safety Plan, assuring the well-being of our students, faculty, and staff during this unprecedented time.
