Try-Out Information/ Register to Play

Athletic Registration- School Year 2023-2024 - Fall Season 2023

All Student Athletes must register with FamilyID before the start of every athletic season.

FamilyID is closed for Fall 2023 Athletics Registration. The registration deadline for Fall 2023 sports was Monday, August 14, 2023

Fall 2023 athletic registration must be completed by Monday, August 14, 2023. Any student-athlete who is not registered for Spring Athletics through their FamilyID account will not be allowed to participated in try-outs or practice. There is a 24hr. turnaround period between registration and eligibility to participate. There can be no exceptions.

First-time FamilyID users, please enter your information through the FamilyID link below; it will remain for each family member for multiple uses and multiple programs. Those already registered, please just sign in, Update your information “click” your sport, and “Submit."

All registrations new and existing must upload a current physical ( within the last 13 months) The physical is required for the nurses approval.

Cheerleading - August 21st (5 PM Doherty Gymnasium

Boys Golf - August 22nd and August 23rd - Unicorn Golf Course (6 AM Start Time) *2 Nine Hole Tryouts, August 24th - Mt. Hood Golf Course (6 AM Start Time)

Girls Soccer - August 21st (9 AM - 11:30 AM Donovan Field

Boys Soccer - August 22nd (6:30 PM - 6:30 PM Donovan Field

Girls Volleyball - August 21st - August 23rd (Incoming Freshmen 9 AM-10:30 AM) (Incoming Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors 10:30 AM-12 PM)

Concussion Protocol

In 2010, Massachusetts passed Senate Bill 2496, commonly known as the "Concussion Law", designed to require schools, parents, and athletes to be educated and have procedures in place regarding concussion reporting. Understanding head injuries is still an inexact science; the CDC describes a concussion as a "traumatic brain injury that comes from a blow to the head." Most concussions occur without a loss of consciousness and simply are not as plainly obvious as a bad broken bone or sprain. Eliminating concussions is next to impossible; in contact sports, injuries of all sorts are inevitable. That makes recognizing head injuries, treating them, and ensuring an athlete is fully healed before he or she returns to the field is absolutely critical. This law requires parents and athletes to receive information about concussions. Malden Catholic's Concussion Protocol is outlined below:
