Malden Catholic Leadership Institute (MCLI)
Since the mid-80s Malden Catholic has maintained a tradition of hosting a four-day, three-night retreat for rising Seniors at an offsite facility that serves as the culmination of content from all past class retreats. MCLI is an immersive, faith-filled, service-oriented opportunity for students to grow as a class, as a school and as a Church. Students will hear from speakers and participate in interactive group exercises designed to build trust, enhance communication skills, serve people in need, spend quality time with one another, pray and grow in fellowship and faith.
This experience takes place in the summer and Seniors are dropped off and stay in dorms with friends, partaking in the retreat events until they are joined a few days later by their families for Mass. The cost for the retreat is $350.

XBSS Retreat
The annual XBSS retreat is a five-day program in Hartford, Connecticut with approximately 100 students from all of the Xaverian sponsored schools. The theme of the retreat is “Falling in love with the service of God.” Seven Malden Catholic students are chosen by a Campus Ministry panel to represent Malden Catholic and learn more about the Xaverian charism, global awareness and stewardship. As part of the retreat, the students are asked to develop a plan to bring back the spirit of simplicity, humility, compassion trust and zeal to the school upon their return.
