Malden Catholic requires all 8th grade applicants to sit for the Archdiocesan High School Placement Test (HSPT) which tests quantitative and qualitative math and verbal skills. This test is offered at Malden Catholic several times throughout the fall on the following dates for applicants to the class of 2029:
November: 11/2, 11/16
December: 12/14

Malden Catholic HSPT Prep Course
The purpose of the HSPT is to review the quantitative and verbal skills on the exam. The Malden Catholic High School Test Prep Course will familiarize students with the subject matter and the testing procedure process. Students will work with actual test questions and will learn test-taking strategies to help them work faster and more confidently so they can maximize their scores. All classes are taught by dedicated, experienced Malden Catholic teachers who work to optimize your child’s grades.

Fall Prep Course Dates & Times
The MC HSPT Prep Course is a 3-day program that will run on two Saturdays from 9 - 11:30 AM and on one Thursday from 4 - 5:30 PM.
2024 Session 1 Dates: This exam is for students who intend to take the HSPT in November.
