Malden Catholic requires all 9th grade applicants to sit for the Archdiocesan High School Placement Test (HSPT) which tests quantitative and qualitative math and verbal skills.
The 2026 testing dates are November 7th, November 21st, and December 12th. 8:30am start for all 3 dates.

The purpose of the HSPT is to review the quantitative and verbal skills on the exam. The Malden Catholic High School Test Prep Course will familiarize students with the subject matter and the testing procedure process. Students will work with actual test questions and will learn test-taking strategies to help them work faster and more confidently so they can maximize their scores. All classes are taught by dedicated, experienced Malden Catholic teachers who work to optimize your child’s grades.
