Required Testing

Take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) and send results.

HSPT Test Dates at MC: November 4, November 18, or December 16, 2023.

• You may take the exam at Malden Catholic. Plan to have your test results sent to all schools to which you apply.
• The exam fee is $40, and you must register online at https://stsusers.com/stsusers/registration/static/boston.php
• Exam results will be sent to your email by the testing company.

Recommendation Forms & Transcript

Submit 7th and 8th grade transcripts along with (2) two letters of recommendation.   

• The Transcript Form can be printed through Ravenna.
• Bring the form to your current teacher, principal or guidance counselor.
• When completing the online application, you will have the option to electrically send recommendation forms to school officials.
• We request 2 recommendation letters from individuals who can speak on your behalf of your student, academically.
• If you choose to do so, you may submit another recommendation speaking on behalf of your student's character.

We encourage you to schedule a Malden Catholic Shadow Day in your Ravenna account.

Please submit an Official Discipline Report. 

Please submit the most recent standardized test scores (HSPT, SSAT, PLAN, PSAT).

Other documents may be requested by the MC Admissions Department based on individual circumstances.

Please note: Students must be academically qualified and complete the equivalent of 8th, 9th or 10th grade. An inability to speak functional English will prohibit a student’s acceptance.

Please submit your results from the IELTS or TOEFL Internet-based Test (Test of English as a Foreign Language. (Malden Catholic is code 2065 for TOEFL.)

Your student must be represented by an Agent, Host Family or guardian in the Boston-area who, upon acceptance, will accompany the student to an interview at Malden Catholic during the required International Orientation in August.

• We request 1 recommendation letter from an English teacher. 
• We request 1 recommendation letter from an Mathematics teacher. 

Please submit a recent physical form or health record, including immunizations and results of a TB test.

Applications for September entrance are due by May 1; applications for January entrance are due by October 30

• Attend International Student Orientation
  This event occurs 2 weeks prior to the academic year beginning and is mandatory to attend.
• Accepted students must submit the Enrollment Contract
• Submit a Student Information Form
