2026 MC STEM Fair

This year, we witnessed incredible projects and innovative ideas from 43 talented students, evaluated by a panel of 30 dedicated judges. After careful consideration, the following projects emerged as the top contenders:

First Prize:

Title: Enzymatic Degradation of Polylactic Acid

Participant: Olivia Wan and Sophia Wan

Second Prize:

Title: GeneClass (Classifying DNA Sequences with AI)

Participants: Bao Gia Luu & Zwae Pyae

 

Third Prize:

Title: How does the involvement of family members and caregivers in the treatment of early onset psychosis affect the illness trajectory and treatment outcomes?

Participant:  Adam Smida

Middle school:

Title: Fighting Nitrates in a Pond

Participants: Boden Drysdale-Langone & William Caulder
