January 15, 2019
Earlier this month, the Malden Catholic Head of School Search Committee interviewed six candidates. From those in-person interviews, the Search Committee narrowed the candidate pool down to two and invited each back onto campus later this month.
On January 24 & 25, each candidate will spend one very full day on campus, meeting with and being interviewed by students, faculty/staff, parents, alumni, and members of the search committee. While we appreciate the likely willingness of many in our community to participate in these upcoming interviews, we must maintain a degree of structure, including the number of people involved. With the exception of the faculty and staff, all of whom will have a chance to meet both candidates, a member of the Search Committee will be contacting students, parents, and alumni in order to form the additional interview groups. Candidate names will be shared with those involved in the interviews a day prior to each candidate’s visit.
The Search Committee will collect feedback on each candidate’s visit and use that information to help inform the Malden Catholic Board of Trustees. As a reminder, the Malden Catholic Board of Trustees will make the final hiring decision. The Board of Trustees meets in February, and they will look to share another update on the search process after they meet.
Once again, please keep the school and this important process in your continued prayers.
