Director of Institutional Advancement

Malden Catholic High School seeks a highly motivated Director of Institutional Advancement with a passion for education and an outstanding track record in leading the Advancement Department and meeting fundraising goals.  Serving greater Boston since 1932, Malden Catholic is a private, independent, college-preparatory high school of 650 boys.  MC is a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School, located in the Metropolitan Boson area with 95% of its graduates going directly to college, with recent acceptances including, Harvard, MIT, Saint Anselm College, UNH, and University of CA, to name a few.

The Director of Institutional Advancement reports to the Headmaster and is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all fund raising programs.  Director of Advancement is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, works closely with the Board of Trustees and is a staff member of the Advancement Committee.  The Director of Advancement will:

Formulate and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy to support the mission and strategic plan of Malden Catholic High School.
-Must have solid track record of increasing revenue from diverse constituencies, including alumni, friends, trustees, and community members and have significant experience in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of both annual and major gifts.
-Responsible for the day to day management of the advancement operation and the overall, ongoing fund-raising initiatives that yields over $1.5M a year in both restricted and unrestricted funds for the school.
-Ability to make presentations and develop written, printed and electronic communication materials.
-Motivate and lead the Advancement Team, office and processes ultimately maintaining a department that supports the School’s plans and mission. 

Qualifications include: A Bachelor’s Degree, plus a minimum of 3 years experience managing, directing and initiating fund raising and all advancement activities are required.  Significant organizational management skills, including team-building and managing colleagues, senior management and Board members to achieve fundraising goals are essential.  The candidate must have strong organizational skills, including outstanding attention to detail.  Superior written, oral and interpersonal skills are also essential.

Skills and Abilities include:  Microsoft Office Suite experience required as well as experience with Donor Information Management Systems (Advance, Raiser’s Edge, Millenium, etc.).  Professional conduct that demonstrates a commitment to the mission, vision, and goals of Malden Catholic High School.
