MCLA welcomes guest speaker, Kelly Scimone, Director of Guidance, to speak about all the great things the Guidance Department does for our boys! Please come to the Thursday, May 4th meeting at 7 pm in the Br. Gilbert Center. Refreshments will be served!  

CONGRATULATIONS to senior Elvis Shi and junior Tom Guo for coming in first and second place in the State of Massachusetts in the Ralph Salvucci Online Bridge Competition.  We commend your diligence and hard work. 

Writers for the Crystal 99 Onion Edition are reminded to turn their articles in by the end of the day Friday. 

Mandatory meeting for all football players Friday morning at 7:30 in the Auditorium. 

The MC Robotics Team would like to invite you the New England Regional Botball Tournament this Saturday April 29.  The event will be held at:  UMASS Lowell, Costello Gymnasium.  The program starts at 10:00 am for the Seeding Rounds and 2:00 pm for Double Elimination. 

Chorus will meet, Tuesday, May 2 at 7:10am in Room 219.  All members must attend. 

Charlie Card payments for the month of May are due into the School Office no later than Friday, April 28. 

Junior/Senior prom payments and permission forms should be returned to Room 208.  The cost for prom is $175.00 per couple.  Please make checks payable to Malden Catholic. 

Attention Juniors and Seniors:  Avis Budget Group is now hiring students with a valid driver’s license.  Positions available are Drivers, Vehicle Service Associates, Customer Service and Rental Sales positions are available.  Please see Mrs. Pokorny for additional information. 

Student Summer Internship Opportunity:  The Internship Supervisor at the Custom House Maritime Museum in Newburyport is looking for students in grade 9 through 12 interested in joining their new internship program.  Any student with a love of history or an interest in museum work is welcome to take advantage of this opportunity.  The program aims to teach local history and professional skills by having students train alongside experienced guides and museum aides.  They will have the opportunity to propose and create a project showcasing their individual skills, such as a museum tour, a presentation, or a small exhibit in the museum.  This is a chance to add a valuable experience to a student’s resume and to create a great memory for themselves, their families, friends and school.   Interested students can apply online (https://goo.gl/forms/x93lEySGfwFDpQcl1) or by PDF (http://www.thechmm.org/uploads/tiny_mce_files/internship_application.pdf).
