Navigating the Cyber World – All parents are invited to a presentation at our Thursday, April 6, Malden Catholic Lancers Association meeting (7:00PM) by Ms. Stephanie Guyotte.  Stephanie is the director of Programs and Outreach for Middlesex Partnerships for Youth in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.  In this role, Stephanie develops and presents prevention programs for students, parents and educators on topics including internet safety, teen dating abuse, substance use, and bullying.  Before joining the DA office’s prevention staff, Stephanie served as Director of Communications for the office and also has more than 10 years’ experience in public relations and journalism, where she was an award winning reporter for newspapers north of Boston. Refreshments will be served! Meeting takes place in the Br Gilbert Conference Center. 

 

 

Charlie Card bus payments for April are due into the School Office by this Thursday, March 30. 

Seniors:   If you have not yet initialed approval of your biography or made any changes, please do so today with your Homeroom teacher. 

Seniors are also urged to buy a tee shirt prominently featuring the name of the institution you will be attending in the fall.  During graduation week, seniors wearing their tee shirts will be photographed. 

Underclassmen: - Mrs. Richards is taking 2017 yearbook orders. Full color book for $50. 

Attention Students and Parents:  Malden Catholic will host it’s annual Spring College Fair on Tuesday, April 4th from 6:30-8:00pm.  Over 85 Colleges and Universities will be represented.  We invite and encourage all students and families to take advantage to meet college representatives and learn more about what each college has to offer!  

There will be an informational meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in Campus Ministry for any junior interested in learning more about the Jamaica Mission Trip 2018 and the project we hope to complete.  Packets about Jamaica and the project will be distributed.  Any questions please see Mr. Michael Driscoll. 

A reminder to all winter athletes: The Winter Sports Awards Night is being held tomorrow at 6:00pm.  Winter student-athletes should be in shirt and tie and report to the gym by 5:45pm.  A representative from the ring company will be here at 4:45pm for any student interested in getting information or seeing samples.  

Homerooms 105 202, 201, and 217 are in the Final Four March Madness Food Drive. All Homerooms still compete for the overall winner.  Please bring cans into your homeroom so we collect and count them on Friday. 

All AP seniors should return signed Christian service sheets to Campus Ministry as soon as possible. 

Any student going to do their service after finals must return their signed Site Application to Campus Ministry. 

Lancer Spirit Life Supper and Prayer is Wednesday.   Sign up in Campus Ministry.

The 30 Day Challenge Club will hold a brief meeting after school on Tuesday, March 28 in Room 104.  All are welcome. 

Rosary on Wednesday in the chapel at 7:25 all are welcome to join us in prayer. 

Lancers in Action Tag Day this Friday to benefit Housing Families. 

Lancers Against Cancer is having a fundraiser for the Pan Mass Challenge on Friday, April 7; 2 to 3 volunteers are needed at Anthony's in Malden at 5:30 for this event.  Sign up in Campus Ministry. 

On Thursday, March 30, the international student club will host the Annual Chinese New Year Celebration.  Please join us after school for some great entertainment, games, prizes, and, of course, free Chinese food!  The party begins at 2:45pm in the cafeteria this Thursday.  Help us celebrate the year of the Rooster by taking part in this fantastic cultural celebration.  See you there! 

Job Opportunities: 1) The Kennedy School in Somerville is hiring lifeguards/swim instructors, they will train candidates.  2) A local resident is in need of students interested in raking leaves in the Chelsea/Everett area.  Please see Mrs. Pokorny in the School Counseling Office if you are interested in either.  

All seniors must return books to the library before Thursday, March 30th.  Lost or damaged books must be paid for or replaced.  Please see Mrs. Davidson-Heller with any questions. 

The 5th Annual MC Poetry Slam will be held on Tuesday, April 4th at 2:40pm in the O'Donnell Learning Commons followed by a pizza party in the Brother Gilbert Center. Sign up information is available in the Learning Commons. The Poetry lam is open to all students. 

Reminder to students who were recently absent from school:  Absent Notes are due into the School Office on the day you return to classes.

 

Host Family Needed for International Transfer Student
