For many students, high school is a place where lasting relationships are forged, preparation for college transpires and memorable moments are made. For our students, that's what we call the Malden Catholic Experience. If you are an 8th grade student looking at various high school destinations or a student just curious about MC, please inquire about our shadow program - Lancer For A Day. As a Lancer For A Day, you will see first hand why both U.S. News and World Report and the Catholic High School Honor Roll recognized MC on a national level as an outstanding high school.
When you shadow, you will be paired with a student who has a similar background and interests. The "Lancer For A Day" follows the schedule of his guide to all his classes, gym, lunch, etc. Those students who participate in the "Lancer For A Day" program often say that the experience helped them realize that MC is the place for them.
Our 8th grade shadow program will begin on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 and run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through the spring. Shadows should arrive in the main office at 7:45 a.m. and they will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Dress code is dress pants, shoes and student will be given a polo shirt on the day of his visit. No hats or earrings.
If you would like to be a Lancer For A Day, find a few dates that might work for you and complete the online form. You will be contacted by email as soon as we review the dates.
